Well helow..
Couple days ago i joined an annual makeup class held by Fashionesedaily forum. I was having so much fun. Trained by the super nice and humble mentor Darwyn Tse (Training Manager of MAC cosmetic), i learned how to maximize my makeup collections to achieve the Hollywood Celebrities Looks such as Ditta von teese, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian.

To get this look, I used Nyx single and palette eyeshadow
TBS bronzer on my cheeks
Nyx Circe + Beautystyle shy blush on my lips
For the face, i used MAC Studio Sculpt NC42 + concealer NW35 (undereye)

U know what, the foundation is actually great on normal- oily t-zone skin like me. I've never tried MAC Studio sculpt before, and pretty amazed by it actually. Yes I know the review is not that good at Makeupalley, but surprise surprise, it does looks good on me :D
I mean, i blotted my face after 4 hours, and 6 hours later my face still looked well polished. The one con about this is that it makes you look a lot lighter in photos. You can tell instantly by lookin at my first FOTD pic.
The foundie gives me good coverage without feeling thick nor greasy. Well i think it is also depends on the brush you use with it. Darwyn applied the foundation lightly with 188 stippling brush and the result was superb.
And for that, this Studio Sculpt foundation is officially jump in to my makeup drooling list :)

Cotton ink

Yap, I've been bitten by cotton ink bug. And I'm officially in love with their acid wash shawl, they're amazing! The shawls as their signature product are so versatile, you can wear it as a long shawl, crop cardigan, a cape, anything you named it.
For those of you who have never heard this Indonesian brand you can visit their blog at cottonink

I have known this brand for a while, but somehow it was just never appeal to me. In my personal opinion, the "sarung like" shawl was really not my style.

But when i finally decided to add some sparks on my casual, plain and oh so boring clothes, suddenly i found my self collecting 5 shawl within 2 weeks LOL.

Not to forget the reaction of my hubby when i first showed him my shawl.. it was like "what is this? some kind of mops or what?" haha.. men..

I do think that the shawl is nice and very unique, but sorry to say, the stitching and the finishing is not that special. And too bad that they don't even put a label on it.. i don't know whether they did it on purpose or not.
Dear cottonink, i want the world to know that i'm wearing the real cottonink, not the fancy cheap replica one...

A month ago a sold my Balenciaga City Bag for some reason. And it turned out to be my biggest remorse after all. I missed it soo much it hurts :(
After weeks of searching for the new bag.. i finally found what i was looking for. Balenciaga Cafe 2007 in Work size. Well I believe some things happen for a reason. The bag is exactly the same color as my previous one, same years and season, only the size that makes the difference. Work is bigger than the City.. and no shoulder strap included (I'm not using it anyway).
I always like a BIG bag.. so this Work size is a perfect size for me.

The leather is very soft, better and even softer than my previous City bag.. it is smooshy and pillowy.. i want to hug her everyday :)

Nyx round lippie

Whoops.. it's been two months since my very last post. Sorry for my hiatus.. I've been doing some project that made my blogging time become so tight.

Ok, for today let me do swatches from my new added Nyx round lipstick collection . I guess everybody have already know how creamy, pigmented and easy to glide the Nyx lipstick is. So, no more review for this one, just color swatches. I hope the picture is clear enough.. enjoy :)

In this picture, i use Nyx Mars and Nyx Tea.. Mars looks very pink on my lips but not in a bad way..
Since I'm not really into a -pinkish only- shade, adding some Tea will be perfect to makes the color appearance a lil bit brown.

Hai everyone.. this is how Nars Gina shows on my cheeks.. applied with stippling brush..
maybe it looks like a lil bit peachy on the pic, but in IRL it's pure orange.

I use no eye makeup.. just BB cream, venus loose powder in transparent, and Nyx Circe + Boots no.7 lipgloss in Tease.. and off course nars Gina :)

Nars Gina anyone?

You know what, i think i finally found my HG blush!
Yippiee, It is Nars Gina girls.. oh my, I'm in love..

Gina is a perfect matte peach-tangerine blush, and for my NC35 skin, it really gives a healthy glow without looking too shimmery. I fell in love with Luster before (i still do), but this -Gina- really ripped my heart. I love everything about this blush, the texture is soft and finely milled, the pigmentation is superb. I can use either my stippling brush or my kabuki brush for this blush. Just a lil dab or swirl and voilaa.. a warm and fresh summer look is what you got.
Gina is really a gem for you medium-dark skin ladies.. You can't go wrong with this color.

I am dying to do FOTD wearing this blush, but this huge ugly PMS pimple on my chin just won't let me do it LOL disaster!
so please stay around :)

DIY Tinted lipbalm

I was thinking about selling or swapping my neglected Erhalogy lip balm. Not until i read Nancy DIY tutorial about making your own tinted lip balm. You should check out her blog, it is an awesome blog :)

What you need:
- lip balm (any lip balm will do, they have to be colorless for sure)
- blush (i use my Everyday Minerals blush in B&B + back to school)
- container (mini jar)
- toothpick
- flat iron
- metal spoon

1. what you do is simply put a generous amount of your lip balm into the metal spoon. and then place the spoon right into the middle of the flat iron until it's melted (make sure you set the level temperature into the max setting)

2. once the lip balm is melted, sprinkle a desired amount of the blush and mix them carefully until you meet the shade you like.

3. pour the melted lip balm into the jar, let it dry. for a better result, i putted mine into the microwave in auto defrost/low setting for about 10 seconds. It will make the surface appearance become smoother and looked like professionally done :)

Yes, they are very sheer in color, since it's not a lipstick. But to be honest i really like it, coz i found my old lip balm is still the same, the texture, the smell, except for the color off course. Making it less boring :D
It was a fun experiment though, thank you Nancy for inspiring me :)

Mac Half n half
It's a nude shade with a hint of pink. The color is very natural so it would be great for my daily wear. Love it!

Sariayu e/s merak kasmaran
Another Indonesian cosmetic brand that is worth to try . Beside the price was a dirt cheap, the quality is shocking great too. I love the color from the collection called Merak Kasmaran. The mini palette come in a trio with a very vibrant and pigmented color (yellow, purple and teal)
Price? IDR 32.000 ($3)

Sariayu duo Lipgloss
This lipgloss was alright. There's nothing special bout it. When i opened the tube for the first time, the only thing that bothered me so much was the smell. To be honest, I hate it.
It's a very uncommon smell for me. Reminds me of an bubblegum but not in a good way, they are just too strong. I felt overdosed by bubblegum, hhhhh...

Nyx round lipstick Pumpkin Pie
The first time i tried this lipstick on my lips, i found the texture was a little bit sheer for me. And the finished result was frost. I never like a frost lipstick, it make my lips looks pale. But the color? me lurve it. It's a beautiful peachy orange color.

Hi ladies.. i just came back from my short trip to Yogyakarta last night. I have so much to tell you, but my body is not very well right now, i feel like dozen of giant elephant sitting on my shoulder hehe..

In the meanwhile i'd like to do a lil post about nude pinkie lipstick here. Yes, i have finally found my another favorite lippie color. Yay..
Practically i has always been a Lipstick person, it took so long for me to realize how Lipgloss/lipshine/Liptint what so ever can effortlessly fixed an ugly lipstick and brighten up or even toned down a lipstick color. So, when Boots were having a major sale last month, i bought my self a Lipshine in natural brownish color for a starter (i'm still waiting for my previous order of Nyx megashine lipgloss to arrived)

Drooling over MBMJ

When my sister asked my personal opinion about budget friendly designer bag that is worth her to buy, in less than a minute i answered Marc by Marc Jacobs :D. Yes i know the price were not actually that friendly to be honest, but they're still acceptable. Compare to the high end brand that is waaaay of my wallet.
Well, i'm not a fans of MJBJ. Not until this Dr.Q Groovee Pleated satchel bag that is drop dead gorgeous (IMO). The bag is simple, casual, chic, and not to mention the leather is to die for.

This tan color bag is officially become my drool list of the year.. cayo me!

Nyx Single Eyeshadow

I heard so many great reviews 'bout the NYX single eyeshadow for their pigmentation and buttery soft texture. So when the NYX website was having a clearance sale on last March i decided to grab some things from them. I was planning to buy a Cream Cheese color at the first place. But when the sale is on, i ended up drooling on the whole package contains 48 shades of eye shadows. Yup you heard me right, 48.. LOL. The price was $43 for 48 pieces. That was a shocking cheap price huh?

The price that NYX offered were actually a very very good bargain, if you do live in the state. The sale applied for online buyers only, and they don't ship internationally as well.
Yes, It's pretty sad for international customer like me. But somehow, like many people said, there are thousand roads to Rome. So i won't give up on the first road.
In the middle of my drooling period, i received an unexpected massage from my sweet friend in FD forum (thank you Merry). She offered me to join her order and arranged a shipment to her relative's residences in US. In that case the package would be sent to Indonesia by her relative via USPS. But of course this will included an extra cost. Hell yeah, i said ok.

I was so excited. After waiting for about 1 month (I've been very patient), finally the package arrived. We had to paid almost twice the value of the item, included the shipping cost from US-Indonesia. Not to mentioned tax and custom duties. Sucksss...
But that's okay.. The price is still a good deal for me. Here in Indonesia, the single eyeshadow sold for $7 each in NYX counter. Non sense.

So.. after a long time waiting, here they are.

Blush for less

I was desperately seeking for a new daily wear blush, since my old blush had finally hit the pan :) yay..
After doing a major shopping on blushes last month, i think it's about time for me to be more wise on my spending. This time i really really need to find a great blush on a budget.
I know that tons of drugstore brand offers a cheap yet great product on their cosmetic line. I personally had a view option in my mind. But they were kinda bored me. So while looking around at the Matahari Departement Store in Pejaten Village Mall, my eyes stumbled on a cosmetic counter named Deborah Milano.. (errr.. never heard that brand before). Later i found out that Deborah Milano is an Italian brand carries by the deborah Group. You can see the detail in their website.
I saw this shimmery and fluffy blushes named Hi-tech blusher displayed on the booth. They reminds me of MAC mineralize blush. I grabbed the peach color (number 24,Rame) and tried them on both of my cheeks, and i was amazed. It was an ultra fine textured powder that blends in flawlessly. The pigmentation was all right, but fine enough to give my cheeks an even toned flush. It's not as shimmery as it looks in the pan, so it's pretty wearable for my daily activities. The color is mild tone peach, quite natural for my Nc35 skin tone.
The best things of all is that they are a very budget friendly blush, it is only around $8 (IDR 96.000)

Seeing double? nop, this picture is an original MAC mineralize blush in Nuance. Look how similar the color is.

Need to conceal?

I have just received my Nyx Concealer In Jar package this morning. I bought the medium shade. In the jar, the color seems a lil bit too red for my yellow undertone. But once applied it blended in nicely. The texture is very creamy, smooth, light weight and easily spread. I used it to conceal my under eye bag and dark circle, and the result was surprisingly great. With $5 price (i paid for IDR 75.000) this miracle in a jar definitely a great deal.
What i don't like from this product is the jar packaging. It is not the most hygienic way to store this concealer. I guess the best way to use this concealer is by using brush for application.

MAC Mineralize Blush in Hot Planet

Eventhough i am a matte blush person, I was pretty excited to get the Grand Duo Collection from MAC. Since the Grand Duo are not available here in Indonesia, I bought my self a Hot Planet on the other day trough beauty spree held by a Fashionesedaily forum member.
Hot Planet is copper yellow melange and mid-tone plum. The retail price is $22.50 (around IDR 230.000, yet i ended up paying IDR 260.000, thanks to the Rupiah high rate exchange, boooo). But my disappointment paid by the fact that the blush were actually cost a very good price. I soon realize, with that cost of money, literally i get 3 blushes in a pan; the solid side, the marbled side, and the blended one. I personally love the blended color, they are so pretty. Plum, with a hint of orange color in it.
Overall I was impressed by the MAC Grand Duo. Beside the texture was silky smooth and had a great pigmentation, the shimmer is nice also, very subtle and gives a healthy glow on my cheeks.

Nars Luster + MAC MSF Brunette

I did a major blushes shopping this month (and I'm so god damn happy :D)
As you can see in my latest haul, i bought my self a Nars Luster, MAC grand duo, and the pricey MAC MSF Brunette from BBR collection. Yes, I'm officially banned from cosmetics shopping for at least a couple months ahead. Sigh..

Nars Luster
I have a little problem applying this blush for the very first time. I use my stippling brush and it didn't seems to work well. The color didn't show up on my cheeks, they were very sheen.
So i tried with my EM Kabuki Brush on the second attempt, and the result was great. Luster is a warm sandy peach color. I'm NC 35 and this color gives my face a healthy glow look.
I tried to pair this blush with my MSF brunette as a highlighter. i layered a single swipe of MSF and voila! the color become more vibrant and alive. I really like it :)

Ok, enough about v-area :D, let's talk about this "makeup miracle in a tube"

Here's my review:
This gel dries into a powder finish and creates a matte surface as soon as i apply on my face. It is also softens appearance of fine lines. Monistat make my makeup glides on effortlessly and stays on trough the day. I use a mineral makeup and i found that Monistat helps the foundation less cakey and easily spread. It is a non greasy formula, so it feels like i use nothing on my face.

Baby Clothing Project

Being a stay at home mum has never been in my wildest dream, ever. So i guess destiny play his role again..
So here i am. I've been blessed for having such a great life. Incredibly yet humble and charismatic husband by my side, a truly adorable son making it even more complete.

Raka, my 1 year old boy has become my inspiration since the day he was born. My dream grows along his side. And i will keep my dream alive by taking care of him with all my heart.

It's been a year since i decided to be a full time mum. Raka is 16 months old at this time, and i guess now it's my turn to back into the business.
I was dreaming about having my own baby clothing label since forever. And i have promised to my self, if someday i finally had the chance to make it happen, i'm going to do it right and 100%.
we're far away from a plain and ordinary cute baby tee. So get ready babies, it's going to be BIG :) and yes mum, it's Organic!

MAC lipstick

I'm a fan of nude lips and until now im still in the searching over a perfect nude lipstick. I believe nude lips could give a strong statement as much as the red lips does.
Since my lips are slightly dark specially my upper, its kinda hard for me to find the perfect nude and the perfect shade.

MAC has a huge range color of nude lips, but i haven't got the chance to try it on one by one. I guess it will be silly to stay hours trying on all the color that MAC have there hehe..
So. Instead of getting dizzy choosing which color suit me the best, i throw a question to MAC forum in FD. The girls out there were very helpful bout this. And so far i have noted a few option for me to try at the counter. By then the battle continue..

MAC Kinda Sexy

My favorite lipstick from MAC at the moment is Kinda Sexy. The color showed up as a neutral pinky rose with a matte finish. I love the color, i love the finishing appearance, and the fact that it doesn't dried up my lips really took my heart. Though its not categorized as the nude lipstick that i've been searching for, but it definately a must have item for those who like some color on them, not just a plain pink lips.

I'm a newbie to MAC cosmetics. But i've been eyeing on their products for a quite time. For a starter, i bought my self a MAC Studio Fix Powder foundation in NC35. It was my first MAC product which i purchase directly from the counter. I usually bought MAC trough a beauty spree that held by a Fashionesedaily forum member.

Overall i love this powder foundation. The shade match my skintone perfectly. The color is very natural and blended very well onto my skin. It has a good coverage without making my face looks heavy. Oil control is so-so, i still have to blot 2-3 times trough the day. But i'm totally fine with that :) blotting is not a crime :p

I have never and will not becoming a collector of high end bags. It’s just not me (read: financial issue). I do love to surf the internet searching tons of branded bag pics, but i did it just for fun.
The only branded bag i'm crazy about is the famous Balenciaga motorcycle bag.
My City Bbag comes in a gold giant hardware, looks stunning over the dark brown leather. According to the color season, i believe it is Cafe 2007.
I bought the bag via online reseller. I'm in love with this perfect bag from the very first sight. The bag is in pre-loved condition, since i can’t afford the new one. But there’s no beauty has been taken away from it. The bag is soooo pretty i almost cry. See the picture, isn’t she lovely? I can't believe it's finally mine ;)

From now on I’m gonna try to spill out my words into this blog. I try to make it as simple as it possible. Yaiks, that doesn’t sounds like me at all haha.
